1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a website. It lets the site recognize you on later visits and keeps the services working.

Magma does not use advertising cookies, profiling cookies, or third-party cookies for marketing.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
The session cookie (__Host-magma_session) is strictly necessary for the Platform to work. Without it, you cannot sign in or open your account. This cookie is:
- HttpOnly: not accessible to JavaScript, which protects against XSS attacks;
- Secure: sent only over HTTPS;
- SameSite=Strict: protected against CSRF attacks;
- Prefixed with
__Host-: it can be set only on the exact domain.
4. Managing cookies
You can set your browser to refuse all cookies or to warn you when a cookie is set. Refusing strictly necessary cookies prevents access to the Platform.
Most modern browsers let you manage cookies from their settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies;
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security;
- Safari: Settings → Privacy.
